Montana is leading the way in combatting Citizens United. Our state must follow!

You may know that in Montana local organizers have drafted and submitted a constitutional initiative for voters to consider in 2026. It would decline to grant to all corporations the power to spend in elections. Called the Transparent Election Initiative, it wouldn’t overturn Citizens United — it would negate its consequences. HUGE. The Citizens United decision is enormously unpopular. Some 75 percent of Americans disapprove of it. And we have the ability to help make Citizens United irrelevant in our state! I’m asking you to use your authority to help rid the nation of Citizens United. Please look into pursuing a “Montana Initiative” in our state through the legislature. Your constituents would be thrilled, and you’ll see it receive huge support. This is so important for our democracy. Dark money in politics is destroying everything we hold dear.
