Condemn Israel for blocking the entry of humanitarian aid

Israel obstructing humanitarian aid from reaching vulnerable civilians in Gaza is an unacceptable violation of international law and human rights principles. Nearly 90% of coordinated aid movements between northern and southern Gaza have been denied or impeded by Israel this month, according to the United Nations. This is compounding the dire living conditions for displaced Gazans, who lack access to basic necessities like shelter, hygiene supplies, and infant formula. Israel's callous disregard for the well-being of civilians, especially children, in Gaza is morally reprehensible. Israel’s actions are exacerbating an already catastrophic famine. Immediate steps must be taken to ensure unfettered access for aid to reach those in desperate need in Gaza. Obstructing lifesaving relief cannot be justified under any circumstances. The collective punishment of a civilian population is a severe breach of the Geneva Conventions.
