We Must Support Ukraine!

The recent resolution passed by the United Nations regarding the conflict in Ukraine is concerning as it fails to directly hold Russia accountable for its unprovoked invasion and the immense suffering it has caused. While the resolution calls for an end to hostilities, it does not place clear responsibility on Russia as the aggressor nation that violated Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. As a permanent member of the UN Security Council, Russia wields significant influence, but this should not deter us from taking a principled stance against its unjustified military actions. We must demonstrate unwavering support for Ukraine's right to self-defense and advocate for robust measures to compel Russia to end its illegal occupation and withdraw its forces. Upholding international law and human rights necessitates confronting Russia's transgressions directly and imposing severe consequences for its belligerent behavior. The world cannot turn a blind eye to such blatant violations of the UN Charter and the rules-based international order. It is imperative that we remain steadfast in our commitment to Ukraine's cause and utilize all diplomatic and economic levers at our disposal to bring about a just resolution to this conflict.
