An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Sign Dear Colleague letter requesting Medicare physician pay cuts be repealed

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Please sign the “Boozman/Welch Dear Colleague” letter to Senate leadership urgently requesting they address the Medicare 3.37% cut passed this year. The deadline is day after tomorrow, Thursday, February 22. As a physician who has supported you in every election, this needs your attention. For office based physicians, this cut translates into a much bigger income cut for providers because we pay all the expenses of our practice out of our fees. Salaries, rent, supplies, utilities all increase and come out of these fees. Physicians Medicare income cuts mean we have to limit the number of Medicare patients we can see or we can’t pay our bills, much less pay ourselves. There is no inflation adjustment for physician payments in Medicare. Help.
