An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Stop surveillance of abortion through wastewater testing

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I’m outraged by reports that anti-abortion activists are pressuring the EPA to monitor wastewater for abortion pills. That’s not public health — it’s surveillance. No one should have to fear the government tracking private medical decisions through sewage. This kind of monitoring would violate privacy, chill reproductive freedom, and open the door to even more invasive tracking of medications. I urge you to publicly oppose and block any policy or funding that enables wastewater surveillance targeting abortion or reproductive healthcare. Protect privacy and autonomy — full stop.
