Support Legislation for a True Shoppers' Bill of Rights

Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you to create legislation that will create a Shoppers' Bill of Rights such as that proposed by Groundwork Collaborative.
Corporations are using AI and surveillance technology to squeeze every last dollar out of consumers, and the current regulatory framework has no answer for it.
The tactics are brazen. Hidden fees push shoppers to spend 20% more than they would if they saw the full price upfront.
Concert tickets advertised at one price arrive at checkout more than 25% higher. Instacart used AI to target specific customers with inflated prices based on their personal data.
Grocery chains and fast food companies are rolling out dynamic pricing algorithms that are a complete black box — shoppers have no way to know whether a price spike reflects real scarcity or a company spotting an opportunity to gouge them.
Here’s the 12-points proposed:
1. Right to an All-In Price: The Price You See Is The Price You Pay
2. Right to a Fair Price: Pricing Products, Not People
3. Right to a Predictable Price: Reining In The Dynamic Pricing Rollercoaster
4. Right to Cancellation: Cancel With a Click
5. Right to Repair: If You Own It, You Can Fix It
6. Right to Your Own Agent: AI That Works For You, Not The Corporate Bottom Line
7. Right to Resale: What You Buy Is Yours to Sell
8. Right to a Level Playing Field: Giving Small Businesses a Chance to Compete
9. Right to Comparison Shop: Taking the Guesswork Out of Comparison Shopping With Unit Pricing
10. Right to a Refund: Ending The Runaround on Refunds
11. Right to Proper Billing: Know What You Owe and Why
12. Right to a Competitive Price: Bring anti-trust into the 21st Century
Shoppers shouldn't have to outsmart an algorithm just to get a fair deal.
Create new legislation modeled on these 12 points, and push for passage. Thank you.
