We are watching an authoritarian shift unfold in real time. The Trump administration has removed all transcripts of the president’s words from the public record. Instead, we’re given carefully edited videos—just a few dozen, out of hundreds of appearances. This is not transparency. This is censorship. The president has destabilized world markets with reckless threats, only to have his own staff contradict him. He’s politicized FEMA, denied aid to devastated areas, and used disinformation to turn victims against help. Now comes the “Big Beautiful Bill,” which is neither beautiful nor democratic. It conceals sweeping, anti-American power grabs behind branding and bluster. We demand that you: 1. Restore and preserve presidential records—transcripts, videos, communications. Democracy demands documentation. 2. Reject the Big Ugly Bill. It is an authoritarian wishlist in patriotic wrapping. 3. 86–47 and all who enabled him. This includes every official who advanced or protected this assault on our institutions—regardless of party. We are not confused. We are not divided.
