An open letter to the U.S. Supreme Court

Uphold the block on the Trump administrations ban on LGBTQ+ military members

4 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The military's discrimination against LGBTQ+ service members is an unjustified violation of their constitutional rights that undermines unit cohesion and military readiness. Multiple federal courts, including the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, have ruled that the policy discriminates against service members based solely on their sexual orientation without valid justification. Reinstating this policy would force personnel back into the closet and deprive the armed forces of dedicated, qualified individuals. A reversal would also contradict the military's own evidence showing no negative impacts on readiness or morale from allowing open LGBTQ+ service. The Supreme Court should uphold the lower court rulings and reject discrimination that serves no legitimate purpose and undermines our national defense.
