Due to widespread layoffs, hiring freezes, and resignations have decimated the ranks of qualified scientists at state labs and the CDC. The agency’s rabies and pox virus teams have been gutted. The rabies team will have just one person with clinical expertise to advise officials, while the pox virus team will have none. The CDC announced it has temporarily paused all testing for rabies and pox viruses (which include smallpox and mpox).this is very dangerous. Take funding from the unneeded war and fund the CDC. Fix it immediately!
