An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Demand Fair Trial Before Deporting US Citizens

6 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

The United States has a fundamental duty to protect the constitutional rights of its citizens, including due process. However, reports indicate that under the previous administration, numerous US citizens were wrongfully detained and even deported without proper legal proceedings. This egregious violation of civil liberties cannot be tolerated in a nation built on principles of justice and equality. I urge immediate action to review all cases of potential unlawful deportation, facilitate the swift return of any wrongfully removed citizens, and implement robust safeguards against future transgressions. The right to fair trial is sacrosanct, and no American should ever face expulsion from their own country without exhausting all judicial avenues. Restoring integrity to our immigration system is paramount to upholding the rule of law and our core democratic values.
