Urgent Opposition to the Destructive Tax Plan and GOP Leadership

I am writing to you as a deeply concerned American citizen who is outraged by the Republican-led tax plan that will devastate life-sustaining social services while further enriching the ultra-wealthy. This plan is nothing more than a continuation of Trump’s disastrous tax cuts, designed to serve billionaires and corporate elites at the direct expense of everyday Americans.
It is appalling that some Republicans have the audacity to tell the American people they must "suffer for a while" because this tax plan will supposedly work in the long run. We know the truth: it will not work for anyone except the billionaire class, Trump’s inner circle, and those who see government as a tool for self-enrichment rather than public service. This is not economic policy—it is cruelty, greed, and a betrayal of the American people.
We have seen time and time again that trickle-down economics is a sham. The only thing that trickles down under these Republican tax schemes is hardship for working families, seniors, the disabled, and the most vulnerable among us. While billionaires and Trump’s cult of sycophants hoard wealth, American families will struggle with job losses, unaffordable healthcare, slashed social services, and an eroded safety net. They are bleeding this country dry, and they do not care.
Billionaires must be taxed fairly. Mega-corporations must pay their share. And the tax-exempt status of churches that actively involve themselves in government and political affairs must be reevaluated. Under Section 501(c)(3) of the tax code, religious organizations that engage in political activities should not enjoy tax-exempt privileges. If they wish to influence policy, they should contribute to the nation’s tax base like everyone else.
It is your duty as an elected official to stand against this corrupt, reckless agenda. The American people did not elect their representatives to serve billionaires, convicted felons, and power-hungry zealots. We elected you to represent us. We need strong voices in Congress who will fight for policies that support working Americans—not policies that widen the wealth gap and further dismantle the programs that keep people alive.
Right now, too many government officials and news organizations are too afraid to call out the rise of authoritarianism, bigotry, and outright theft taking place in our country. History has shown us what happens when leaders allow fear and complacency to overtake moral courage. We cannot afford to repeat those mistakes. The time to act is now.
I urge you to take a stand. Oppose this tax plan with everything you have. Demand that billionaires, corporations, and politically active religious institutions pay their fair share. Fight for the people who actually make this country run. We will not forget who stood with us and who sold us out.
