An open letter to the U.S. Congress

STOP Subsidizing AI Data Centers with Public Funds

100 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

Stop handing public money to AI companies for data center buildouts. These are among the most profitable corporations on the planet and do not need taxpayer subsidies or the use of public lands to expand their infrastructure. These data centers steal precious resources and tax dollars from the people. Every dollar directed their way is a dollar not going to places that are in need of money. Like public schools, housing, healthcare, child care, or social security. This money should be going to the constituents who elected you, not into the pockets of corporations and billionaires. I want you to oppose any legislation, budget allocation, or incentive package that funnels public funds toward AI data center development. If these companies want to build, they can use their own record profits to do it. It is important to note that midterms are here and MY vote depends on where you stand on this issue.
