Please Cosponsor and Support the Scientific Integrity Act

As your constituent, I urge you to cosponsor and support the Scientific Integrity Act (H.R. 1106), sponsored by Rep. Tonko (NY-20) . This important bill would: (1) require federal agencies that fund or oversee scientific research to establish and maintain clear scientific integrity principles; (2) prohibit suppression and political interference of scientific findings and conclusions; and (3) hold scientists to high standards while guaranteeing their rights and protections under the law, among other provisions. Scientific research must be free from political interference, and now more than ever, Congress must act to protect the integrity of our scientific institutions and thus the policy that science informs. As your constituent, I urge you to stand up for science and evidence-based policy by cosponsoring H.R. 1106. Thank you for your support.
