Oppose Removal of Federal Holidays Recognizing Black Americans

I am writing to express serious concern about the removal of federal holidays that recognize Black Americans and their contributions to our nation. This action represents yet another example of the president's petty vindictiveness and a deliberate erasure of Black history from our national consciousness. Federal holidays honoring Black Americans serve an essential purpose beyond simply providing days off. The timing and manner of this action reveal its true nature as political retaliation rather than thoughtful policy. There is no legitimate governmental interest served by stripping away recognition of Black American history. This is vindictiveness masquerading as administrative action. I urge you to publicly oppose this decision and support legislation that would restore and protect federal holidays recognizing Black Americans. These observances belong to all Americans and should not be subject to the whims of any single administration.
