An open letter to the U.S. Senate (Wash. only)

Please reject the “Big Beautiful Bill” and stand with everyday Americans

407 so far! Help us get to 500 signers!

I’m writing to urge you to stand firmly against the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill.” Despite its name and rhetoric, this proposal would have devastating consequences for everyday Americans, especially the most vulnerable among us. With deep cuts to Medicaid, tax giveaways to the ultra-wealthy, and a projected $2.4 trillion increase to the deficit, this bill is not a vision for prosperity—it’s a blueprint for widening inequality and eroding trust in government. I’m especially concerned about how these cuts will impact rural communities, working families, and those who already struggle to access affordable healthcare. The suggestion that Americans will “get over it,” as some Senate leaders have said, is not only dismissive—it’s dangerous. This moment calls for leadership rooted in fairness, compassion, and fiscal responsibility. I hope you will reject this bill and work instead toward bipartisan solutions that uplift Main Street, not just Wall Street. Please put your constituents first. Thank you for your service to our state—I hope we can count on your strong voice in this critical moment.
