Build Back Better is not frivolous spending; it’s an investment in America and the start of preserving a livable planet, a healthy, educated populace, and stronger families. It is essential that both spending bills be passed, along with the two voting rights bills. We already know the Republicans are going to do everything in their power to prevent all of these bills from passing. It is time to bite the bullet and eliminate the filibuster. We have watched the GOP dig in their heels and stop progress for forty years. Enough is enough. We can’t play their game any longer. Between Republican obstructionism and their voter suppression in the states, unless Federal voter guarantees are enacted, we may as well have let the Jan 6th insurrection succeed. Unless Democrats can get these bills passed, it will be Game Over.
