Decertify Police in CA

I am writing in support of SB 2, the Kenneth Ross Jr. Police Decertification Act. SB 2 would bring California in line with the 46 other states that have a decertification process that would prevent officers who are fired for serious misconduct, including excessive force, sexual misconduct, and dishonesty like planting evidence or perjury, from being rehired by other law enforcement agencies. Without this law, abusive officers could move from department to department and continue to incur complaints of serious misconduct. California must act now to decertify cops who abuse their power to terrorize our communities. Please support SB 2 to take dangerous, corrupt cops off our streets and make our communities safer.
