Veterans' march defending Constitution, opposing unconstitutional actions
The stakes are high. The future of our democracy hangs in the balance, and we must act to uphold the Constitution and the principles it enshrines. On March 14th, veterans from across the nation will march in Washington D.C. to defend the Constitution against domestic threats. These patriots have sworn an oath to protect our nation, and they now see it as their duty to speak out against the unconstitutional actions of the current administration. The situation is dire. Leaked memos reveal plans to cut over 80,000 jobs from the Department of Veterans Affairs, jeopardizing healthcare and vital services for those who have served. Federal job losses due to indiscriminate layoffs are disproportionately impacting veterans who make up nearly a third of the workforce. Cancer patients are being denied clinical trials, suicide prevention training has been canceled, and therapists fear for their own livelihoods while trying to care for others. This is a dereliction of our nation's sacred obligation to its veterans. Equally alarming are the administration's persistent attempts to undermine democratic norms and subvert the will of the people expressed at the ballot box. From the unconstitutional pardon of insurrectionists to the edited, monarchical photo declaring "Long Live the King," the writing is on the wall. We cannot stand idly by as the guardrails of democracy are systematically dismantled. That is why this march is so imperative. It invokes the spirit of the 14th Amendment's provisions on insurrection and rebellion against the Constitution. Those who once fought foreign enemies to preserve our republic must now stand united against domestic foes who seek to dismantle it from within. They march to remind us all of our sacred duty as citizens to eternally defend the Constitution against all threats. I implore you to join this patriotic movement or find another way to have your voice heard. Our very freedom and the future of self-governance is at stake. We cannot afford inaction or complacency in the face of such an existential challenge to our democratic foundations. The time to act is now, before it is too late.
