An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Stop Israel's siege on Gaza and end their occupation of Palestine.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is dire, with over 700 Palestinian civilians, including 260 children, tragically killed and more than 4,000 injured due to ongoing air raids by Israel. Israel has cut Gaza off from essential resources, including food, electricity, and water, and has destroyed the only exit, leaving the 2.3 million with no escape from Israeli air raids and ensuring mass starvation. Hospitals and UN-run schools are being targeted and destroyed, eliminating safe havens and medical care for civilians, and Israel has threatened to bomb humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza, exacerbating the crisis. This is not a war. This is mass starvation and systematic destruction of hospitals, schools, and entire neighborhoods amounting to the annihilation of more than 2 million people already struggling under apartheid. This is the mass murder of a population that is 50% children under the age of 15. It is imperative to call for an immediate ceasefire and the end of the Israeli occupation of Palestine. An international investigation into these attacks is also necessary. The international community must hold those responsible accountable for these human rights violations and potential war crimes.
