NO coal bailouts with clean energy money! PROTECT climate funds. Investigate DOE

Protect clean energy funds from being used for coal. Earlier this year, reporting revealed that the Trump administration misused more than $500 million in clean energy funds to support coal projects. Would you let money meant for clean energy be redirected to the very fossil fuel infrastructure it was supposed to move us away from? I am deeply concerned that federal clean energy funding is being treated like a political slush fund for coal, rather than being used for its intended purpose: lowering pollution, modernizing the grid, deploying clean technologies, and protecting communities from climate harm. Congress appropriated this money for clean energy. The administration should not be allowed to twist that mandate into a handout for coal plants. PLEASE: Investigate the misuse of clean energy funds for coal. PLEASE: Hold DOE Secretary Chris Wright accountable for violating the intent of Congress. PLEASE: Legislate guardrails so clean energy BIL funds cannot be directed to fossil fuel projects.
