AI needs regulation. Don’t strip the states of their ability to protect us.

Please do not allow the portion of the “big beautiful bill” prohibiting state level AI regulations to remain. AI is a powerful tool that I use regularly for good but there are plenty of criminal elements and others with poor intentions who will weaponize AI platforms against the public. We already see that through deepfake technologies. It is your job to protect us from harm but the provisions in the bill just expose us to harm. This new technology is very powerful and doesn’t need to be released unfettered on our country and the world. If you can’t put regulatory protections into your bill, don’t strip the states of their ability to protect us and more importantly, our children.
