An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress

Avoid military conflict with Iran, pursue diplomatic solutions

8 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

The United States must not engage in military conflict with Iran. Escalating tensions with Iran would destabilize the region and likely lead to catastrophic loss of life. There are no clear strategic objectives or national security interests that would justify such a war. Diplomatic channels should be exhausted before any use of force is considered. Provoking another protracted Middle East conflict would be a grave mistake. The president has gone beyond his scope of power, and it is Congress who should decide our involvement in armed conflicts according to the Constitution.
