A Democratic Majority Must Confront Trump, No Compromises

I believe a Democratic Senate majority is now a real possibility—and Democrats must treat it as a mandate for action, not an invitation to compromise. Trump’s second term has repeated the pattern of his first: chaos, extremism, and disregard for governing have steadily eroded his support and made once-unlikely races competitive.
If Democrats win Congress, they should use every constitutional power available to check his administration: block unqualified appointments, halt judicial confirmations, and investigate corruption and abuses of power. The goal isn’t to pretend there can be a constructive partnership with Trump or his party; it’s to impose accountability and begin restoring constitutional government.
A Democratic majority wouldn’t, by itself, save American democracy or end Trumpism. It would give the country a chance to fight back. Anything less than using that chance fully would be a failure.
