No Cuts to Medicaid or Planned Parenthood

I am your constituent and I urge you to oppose any efforts to defund Planned Parenthood or cut Medicaid. These programs are vital for ensuring access to affordable reproductive and basic health care for millions of Americans, including many in our community. In case you weren’t aware Planned Parenthood provides vital health care for many who are financially strapped. This includes contraception, STD testing and treatment, well-woman exams, cancer screenings as well as abortion services. More than half of their patients are on Medicaid. Don’t punish the women who are patients by defunding Planned Parenthood. Moreover, Medicaid convers 4 in 10 U.S. births, 80% of poor children, 25% of disabled adults, 2/3 of women of reproductive age. Don’t punish them either. I strongly urge you to protect 2/3 of the women of child-bearing age in the US, and all Medicaid recipients and stand against Medicaid cuts and against cutting Planned Parenthood funding. Thank you.
