Recent polls from Pew Research Center indicate that most Americans hold an unfavorable opinion towards Israel, with 53% expressing negative views. This represents an 11-point increase in unfavorable opinions since last year, before the latest Israel invasion of Gaza. The overwhelming majority of Americans, around 62%, also oppose any potential U.S. takeover of the Gaza Strip. Furthermore, Israel stands on trial for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide by international bodies like the International Criminal Court and International Court of Justice. Over 50,000 civilians including women and children, have been killed by Israeli forces since October 2023. Gaza lies in ruins from this brutal genocide. In light of these disturbing realities and the changing attitudes of the American public, it is imperative that the US immediately halts all foreign assistance to the Israel government. US foreign aid to Israel enables and perpetuates Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people at the expense of hardworking american taxpayers. A firm stance rejecting all military aid including the iron dome to the illegal pariah apartheid state named Israel is long overdue.
