Oppose the SAVE act

The SAVE Act is a harmful proposal that would disenfranchise millions of eligible voters across the country. This draconian legislation would create unnecessary and discriminatory barriers to voter registration by requiring documentary proof of citizenship for all federal elections. Experts estimate this would prevent up to 13 million voters from being able to register and cast a ballot. Voting is a fundamental right in a democracy, and Congress should be working to expand access rather than erecting unconstitutional hurdles. Protecting the integrity of elections does not justify suppressing the votes of millions of law-abiding citizens.
