An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Restore aid to prevent refugee hunger and malnutrition crisis

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Continued cuts to aid for refugees like those at Kakuma camp in Kenya are having devastating impacts on food security and malnutrition rates, especially among vulnerable groups like children and pregnant mothers. Rations have been slashed in half, monthly cash assistance has ended, and critical nutrition supplements are running out after the suspension of U.S. funding to the World Food Programme. We cannot stand by as hundreds of thousands are pushed into hunger and starvation. I urge you to act swiftly to reinstate full funding for humanitarian aid and food assistance programs serving refugee populations. These people have already endured unimaginable hardship - ensuring their basic nutritional needs are met is a moral imperative that reflects our nation's values of compassion and human rights. A failure to act will lead to worsening malnutrition, preventable loss of life, and destabilization in an already volatile region. Please make restoring this vital aid an urgent priority.
