I have seen at least a dozen of videos of people in LA being shot by police for no apparent reason whatsoever. One was a reporter who was shot in the back while reporting. You can see the officer take aim and shoot her. Another a person was asking the officer for his name and badge number while standing behind the glass as instructed. The officer said something like I don’t have time for this and shot the person less than 5 feet from him. Yet another was a woman walking to her home alone near a group of police less than ten feet from her and they shot her. I’ve seen police shoving people multiple times who are walking away as directed until someone asks why and the officer tackles the man and with others joining in, begins to beat him. There are so many more videos. Is this the America you want?
This is illegal action by the police in LA. The police have turned a peaceful protest into a un-American shooting gallery where officers shoot and beat l people who are not engaging in unlawful activity. The citizens of this country have the right to protest. We have the right to protest!
Now LA is being invaded by the military and the national guard along with tons of supposed ICE agents (people in tactical gear but no uniform, face covered, no badges, no name tags who kidnap people and take them away in unmarked cars). These actions by the Trump administration are unconstitutional and unwarranted. It is increasing the fear and anxiety for everyone and giving the message that the government and police can act however they want without rules, outside the law, with cruelty, malice, and violence against people going home, reporting, asking for a badge number, asking a question, or being brown skinned.
Do you realize this is a test case for the Trump administration to see how they can create a police state? Why aren’t you standing up and demanding a stop to this? Why do you sit on your hands while this blatant and uncalled for violence continues? Sure, it may not be in the state you represent right now. But you and I know it will be. If you let this go on, it will happen across this country. The USA will become a dictatorship and police state.
We need you to act now! Unseat this corrupt Trump administration that abuses its power. Impeach Donald J. Trump now. Use your power as an elected official to uphold the constitution. Stop thinking about the money you receive from corporations and politics and remember your oath to uphold the constitution. We the people! The people being shot and beaten are THE PEOPLE! Defend us!!! Defend the Constitution!!!
