Rep. Jasmine Crockett, following in the footsteps of our beloved Rep. John Lewis, has taken a noble initiative by refusing to attend Trump’s inauguration. First and foremost, Trump’s attempt to overturn American democracy on January 6, 2021, makes him unworthy of celebration. Secondly, it’s evident that his agenda aligns with Putin and Musk’s goals against the American people. Moreover, the day designated for Trump’s inauguration is meant to honor the life of a true American hero, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Spending the day in support of Dr. King is undoubtedly the most patriotic and fitting way to spend it.
