I was already horrified by the president’s recent threats against Greenland and law-abiding U.S. citizens and lawful residents in Minnesota and elsewhere. Now, I read the reports that the president told Norway’s leader that his consideration of violence against NATO allies reflects his hurt feelings about the Nobel Peace Prize he thinks he deserved. This is far beyond any tolerable behavior for the president of the United States. He makes decisions based on false information, misguided thinking and narcissistic entitlement. He is jeopardizing our economy, our safety and our entire world. We cannot wait any longer. Too much damage is being done by the day. Please keep doing what you are doing and let us know how we can get the Republicans and others to recognize the existential threat that our president has become. I can’t believe I just wrote that sentence. In my 64+ years of life, I never imagined that our own elected president would be destroying our democracy, threatening our allies and jeopardizing our safety. Thank you for your steadfast work on behalf of all Californians and in the best interests of our nation.
