The First Amendment is not up for debate. It is not optional. It is not conditional. It is the foundation of our democracy, the shield that protects the people from tyranny, and the weapon that ensures truth can never be silenced. Without freedom of speech, without a free press, without the right of the people to speak their minds without fear of censorship or retaliation, America ceases to be America.
Let me be clear: any attempt to restrict, manipulate, or intimidate free speech is an act of betrayal against the Constitution and against the people you swore an oath to serve. The First Amendment does not belong to Congress, the President, or the courts—it belongs to the people. And the people will not tolerate its erosion.
We are watching. We will not accept censorship dressed up as “protection,” intimidation disguised as “patriotism,” or silencing critics under the excuse of “order.” History is clear: when leaders fear speech, it is because they fear the truth. Only dictators demand control of words, thoughts, and ideas. America was built on rebellion against such tyranny, and we will not let it take root here.
President Trump, stop your attacks now on citizens expressing their feelings. You are not above the law or the constitution.
Congress must act—loudly, clearly, and unequivocally—to defend the First Amendment. Not tomorrow. Not “when convenient.” Now. Stand up against every effort to stifle speech, no matter where it comes from or whom it targets. This is not partisan. This is not negotiable. This is America.
The people will not be silenced. Protect the First Amendment—or answer to those you swore to represent.
