An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Strip Section 219 from the 2027 NDAA

163 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

Strip Section 219 from the 2027 NDAA. This provision would lock the US into joint ventures, licensing agreements, and co-production partnerships with Israel's defense industry at the worst possible moment. American interests and Israeli interests are diverging, and entangling our defense-technology ecosystem with a government that has dragged us toward conflict with Iran is reckless. Senator Chris Van Hollen put it plainly: Section 219 risks giving Israel the ability to interfere in US defense decisions. Fifty-six civil rights and advocacy groups, including Amnesty International USA, called it "exceptionally dangerous." A June Quinnipiac poll found 48 percent of voters — and 66 percent of Democrats — already think we're too supportive of Israel. The public sees what's happening. Congress should too. Representatives Massie and Khanna tried to block this in the House and failed. The Senate is the last line of defense before this gets locked into law. Vote to remove Section 219 from the final NDAA.
