An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress; State Governors & Legislatures
Trump’s banned words is not conservatism, it is erasing rights and freedoms.

I am writing to express deep concern over the Republican Party’s growing hostility toward free speech. Once the party of the First Amendment, it now seeks to control language itself—banning words instead of engaging in open debate. Under the influence of Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation, and President Trump, the GOP is abandoning its commitment to free expression.
A newly surfaced list of prohibited words, likely to influence government policy, reveals a disturbing shift. The following terms—used in science, medicine, and civil rights—are being silenced:
Words like women, victim, mental health, and accessible are not radical. Scientific and medical terms such as climate science, health equity, and gender identity are being erased. Even racial and ethnic identifiers like Black, Latinx, and Native American are being purged.
But what is most telling is who is missing. Nowhere on this list do we see Christianity, conservative, patriot, faith, pro-life, or traditional family. It is clear that this censorship targets minorities, women, the LGBTQ+ community, and those advocating for their rights.
This is not conservatism. It is censorship.
The Republican Party once rejected political correctness, insisting that government should not dictate speech. Now, it is silencing words it finds inconvenient. By banning language and erasing entire groups, the GOP is no longer the party of free speech—it has become the party of thought control.
I ask you directly: Do you stand for free speech, or do you support those who dictate what Americans can and cannot say?
The true test of conservative values is not in rhetoric but in action. The Constitution protects free speech. Will you defend it, or will your name be remembered for helping to destroy it?
