An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Put some teeth in the War Powers Resolution and end the Iran War

11 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

I’m writing regarding the Iran conflict. Congress passed a War Powers Resolution (House, June 3; Senate, June 23) directing an end to U.S. hostilities. The Administration has not complied, and the ceasefire has since collapsed. A resolution without an effective enforcement mechanism accomplishes little. I ask that Congress follow up with binding action—including funding restrictions—to make its directive meaningful. Americans should not bear the open-ended costs of a war Congress voted to end and Americans do not want.
