These actions, combined with a hiring freeze, an indefinite travel ban, and the nominee for Health and Human Services Secretary advocating for NIH cuts, are harming the scientific community and could lead to a brain drain of top researchers abroad. I urge you to take action to reverse these damaging measures and protect the integrity of NIH’s work. Our country’s health and global scientific leadership are at risk.
