Invoke House Rule IX to Address Presidential Conduct

Use every procedural tool available to you, including House Rule IX, to formally address the conduct of President Trump and pursue removal from office. Rule IX exists precisely for moments when the integrity of our constitutional order is at stake. A resolution questioning executive conduct that threatens the House's constitutional prerogatives — including its powers over revenue, appropriations, and impeachment — qualifies as a matter of high privilege and should be treated as one.
The House has the authority and the obligation to act. Under Rule IX, a resolution offered by the Majority or Minority Leader takes precedence over all other business except a motion to adjourn. That procedural leverage should be used now. The impeachment power is the House's most consequential constitutional check on the executive, and the moment to exercise it is when the threat is present, not after it has done its damage.
My expectation is that you use every available avenue — Rule IX resolutions, impeachment proceedings, and any other privileged action — to hold this President accountable. Inaction is a choice, and your constituents are watching.
