An open letter to the U.S. Congress

100 days in and 221 cases and counting against this second Trump regime

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

100 days in, and to remind us of the corruption of this administration here is a breakout of lawsuits brought against each administration since 2000: George W. Bush 2001–2009 13 (ACLU, first term only) Lawsuits focused on civil liberties, especially post-9/11 policies. Barack Obama 2009–2017 46 (multistate AG suits) Republican-led states challenged healthcare, environmental, and immigration policies. Donald Trump (1st term) 2017–2021 400+ (ACLU); 123 (California); 156 (multistate) Lawsuits covered immigration bans, census questions, environmental rollbacks, etc. Joe Biden 2021–2025 100+ (from Texas alone) Legal action focused on immigration, energy policy, and federal spending. Donald Trump (2nd term) 2025–Present 200+ (first 100 days) Major lawsuits relate to immigration, civil rights, and federal workforce cuts. This regime is ruining our democracy and violating our rights. The courts and the people are fighting back hard and Congress needs to do the same!
