An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Reduce Military, Tax the Wealthy-Don't Cut Medicaid & Food Stamps

18 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

The tax bill that passed the house not only cuts crucial social programs, but actually increases the deficit quite significantly. The obvious place to cut is the military budget, not the social programs that keep millions of Americans alive and eating. Don't turn away from the biggest drain on our budget, which is the military, and the biggest untapped resource, which is the billionaires who don't currently pay their share of the taxes. Please don't pass this tax bill. Restore Medicaid and food assistance, and reduce military spending and increase taxation on the wealthiest Americans instead.
