Reject the SAVE Act. Burdensome regulations hurt voters.

Reject the SAVE Act The proposed SAVE Act threatens to disenfranchise eligible voters by putting up barriers to vote. The United States also has historically low levels of voter fraud. https://www.npr.org/2024/10/11/nx-s1-5147732/voter-fraud-explainer These burdensome regulations are unnecessary. States already do an excellent job of regulating elections and require different levels of identification. Ambiguity in the bill will leave it up to states and local jurisdictions to determine how to enforce the new regulations, and the result may prevent eligible voters from casting their vote. The United States has historically low levels of voter participation. Turning away voters may drive those levels even lower, risking an elected class unbeholden to the citizenry. Our government should remain of the people, by the people, for the people - ALL the people - not just the lucky few to have the time and money to jump through these new hoops. I urge you to speak out against these proposed changes and vote against the SAVE Act.
