Within hours, the Senate will commence the confirmation hearings for Mr. Trump’s cabinet nominees. You’re going to have to decide if these nominees are qualified for the positions they’ve been nominated for. RFK, Jr is the nominee for HHS Secretary. RFK, Jr is NOT a: Doctor, Medical Professional, Epidemiologist. He has NEVER been a Public Health Official. He HAS BEEN or IS: a former drug user, a lawyer, a man who scraped a road kill bear off the highway, transported it to Central Park and staged it’s death as some sort of accident IN Central Park. He IS a person who spreads conspiracy theories about vaccines causing Autism and various other conditions, all without proof or confirmation from the overwhelming majority of medical professionals. He is dangerous to the health and well being of Americans, especially our children who attend school where they might be exposed to any number of serious childhood diseases. He DOES have difficulty being truthful about his positions on childhood vaccinations and even the use of proven affective vaccinations for Adults. In general, RFK, Jr is regarded as a crackpot. Someone who has gone off the rails as regards the safety and efficacy of proven vaccines. In my opinion and that of 10s of thousands of actual medical doctors and epidemiologists, he is so unqualified to be HHS Sec that approving his appointment would NOT be in the interest of providing safe, accurate advice and information to the American Public. If you vote to confirm his appointment you will be abandoning your responsibility to your constituents, the American public, and indeed to the rest of the world. Approving his appointment could quite possibly result in the resurgence of man dangerous childhood diseases including measles, mumps, Rubella, and even Poliomyelitis. I disagree completely with the vast majority of your policy positions. But on this one, I hope you can do what’s right for Americans. I strongly urge you to vote NO on confirmation of RFK, Jr as Sec of HHS.
