Trump and Hegseth Are Out Of Control - Do Something!

I am writing to you as your constituent, and I am demanding immediate action in response to the unauthorized and illegal military escalation currently being carried out against Iran. My concern is not abstract—it is urgent, enormous, and shared by millions of Americans who are watching the Constitution be ignored in real time. Congress alone holds the power to declare war under Article I of the Constitution. That authority has been blatantly bypassed. The executive branch has acted without authorization, without accountability, and without regard for the law. This is not a gray area—it is a direct violation of your constitutional role. First, I demand that you formally co-sponsor and publicly support Representative Yassamin Ansari’s Articles of Impeachment against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Authorizing or executing military strikes against civilian infrastructure, including schools, without Congressional approval is a grave breach of both domestic and international law. I will not allow my tax dollars to fund actions that may constitute war crimes. Second, I demand that you force a floor vote on the War Powers Resolution and vote YES to immediately cut off all funding for offensive military operations against Iran. Congress must reassert its authority now—before this escalates further and costs more innocent lives. Third, I demand that you publicly call for the invocation of the 25th Amendment and support legislation under Section 4 to establish a Congressional oversight mechanism to evaluate the Commander-in-Chief’s fitness to retain control over the military chain of command. This is a defining moment for Congress. You can either uphold your oath to defend the Constitution, or you can stand by while it is dismantled. Silence is complicity. Inaction is endorsement.
