An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Are you doing anything about illegal firings? Any follow up?

16 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

Chuck Grassley raised the alarm two months ago about the illegal firings of Inspectors General, yet we’ve seen no follow-up, no action, and no consequences. What’s the point of the laws protecting IGs from being fired without cause if Congress refuses to enforce them? These laws were designed to prevent exactly this kind of political interference, yet it seems they’re being ignored with no repercussions. Chuck's little letter is useless if you don't care about follow-up, and so are you. Congress has an obligation to hold this administration accountable. I urge you to demand answers, take real action to protect the integrity of our military leadership and oversight mechanisms, and remind the executive branch that it does not operate above the law. I asked for follow up last month and you did not reply. Since then, more officials have been illegally fired. Have you written more letters? What are you doing?
