I am deeply troubled by Trump's call with Putin, which has understandably alarmed Europe and shocked Ukraine. Aligning with an autocratic regime that has illegally invaded a sovereign nation is an unconscionable betrayal of democratic values and a slap in the face to our allies. We must stand firmly with Ukraine against Russian aggression and make it unequivocally clear that the United States will not tolerate or enable Putin's imperialist ambitions. I urge you to take a strong, principled stance against Russia's actions and to support robust military and economic aid for Ukraine. Appeasing authoritarians only emboldens them – it is time to draw a line in the sand.
