ORWELL IS SURELY SAYING ‘ I TOLD YOU SO’

In the latest ‘tell us something we didn’t already know’ headline…DHS has been posting false and misleading immigration videos. Creating dramatic montages of events that may not have happened recently or even in this country. But it doesn’t seem to really matter whether true or not. Enough people will believe it regardless. Views are the thing. Likes are the thing. Propaganda works is the thing. This continued deception of the citizenry by our government is destroying trust. And trust is a hard thing to regain. At this point we don’t believe anything that comes out of the Trump administration. The latest instance of manipulating the public with deceit can’t be blamed on just minor editing errors. Instead, they suggest that the administration has worked to undercut criticism by pumping out videos that could deceive Americans about the scale or success of their policies, transforming government channels into propaganda tools. 
One media integrity expert noted: “What we are witnessing is the collapse of government accountability through communication based on facts. They’re not trying to communicate actions and outcomes. They’re acting like filmmakers, trying to make people laugh, to make them feel scared, to inspire certain emotions regardless of the truth.” If you have to lie to justify your actions, then your actions are not justified. But at least the prez finally had someone hand him the crown he’s been hoping for. South Korea showed the world how to make Trump happy. As a South Korean official explained it “symbolizes the divine connection between the authority of the heavens and the sovereignty on Earth, as well as the strong leadership and authority of a leader.” And they ended the gilded evening with a gold adorned brownie for dessert. But still not happy, Mr. Trump had to remind us how he does suffer… "I want to thank Donald Trump for working like a dog for no money to save a Country that doesn't appreciate his sacrifice! Thank you Mr President!" Talking about yourself in the third person goes along with the royal crown apparently. You just gotta laugh…ha ha.
