We Deserve a Government That Works for Us, Not the Billionaires

The GOP would have the country believe that anyone who opposes them supports unchecked immigration, job theft, and rising crime. That’s simply not true. What we oppose is using taxpayer dollars—meant for vital programs like Medicaid, SNAP, and Social Security—to fund ICE raids that violate constitutional rights, detain legal citizens, and disproportionately target Black and Brown communities. We object to a system that deports refugees of color while welcoming white South Africans, and that punishes public officials—like Bonnie Watson Coleman, LaMonica McIver, Rob Menendez, and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka—for speaking out. We reject the double standard that allows a male president to accept a luxury gift from Qatar while a female Secretary of State was barred from receiving a modest gift from Zimbabwe. We reject the abuse of power, the erosion of civil rights, and an economy that favors billionaires over everyday workers. We elect officials to represent us. That means passing a budget that protects human services and prioritizes people—not corporations or billionaires like Elon Musk. It’s time for government to work for us. Thank you.
