Specifically, at least five foreign governments are reported to pay a combined $2 million per month in fees for their units in Trump World Tower. By accepting these payments while serving as president, Trump has violated the Foreign Emoluments Clause from the moment he took the oath of office. This clear conflict of interest undermines the integrity of the executive branch and threatens the principles of transparency and accountability that are essential to our democracy. Congress must act decisively by initiating impeachment proceedings to fulfill its constitutional duty to safeguard democracy and hold the president accountable for his actions.
