An open letter to the U.S. Senate (Ore. only)

Insurrection Act of 2024

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Hi, I am a constituent from 97222 insisting you support reforming the Insurrection Act, which currently allows the president unchecked use of the military as a domestic police force This antiquated law needs to be modernized, narrowed and clarified to provide the president emergency flexibility AND to codify crucial checks against abuse of power. I am asking Sen. Wyden and Sen. Merkley to cosponsor and pass the Insurrection Act of 2024, S4699 Thank you
