An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress

Curb tech monopolies, protect democracy and public discourse

The increasing consolidation of corporate power poses a threat to democracy and the well-being of society. Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter raises concerning questions about the unchecked influence of powerful individuals and their ability to shape public discourse. We must advocate for measures that promote transparency, accountability, and ethical governance in the tech industry. Reining in monopolistic practices and ensuring a level playing field for competition should be a priority to safeguard the free exchange of ideas and information. Robust antitrust enforcement and regulations are urgently needed to curb the disproportionate control wielded by a handful of tech giants and their leaders.
