NO NEW FUNDS for the Pentagon: do not enable war crimes & wars run amok

NO new funds for the Pentagon.
Please VOTE NO on Trump's request for 1.5 trillion dollars for the Pentagon.
Trump and Hegseth have endangered our national security in numerous ways:
they have committed war crimes and advocated, even advertised, their intent to persist in the commission of the same.
They have betrayed our allies, illegally changed the name of the DOD without required congressional authorization, blocked deserved promotions due gender and racial bigotry, violated the congressional war powers act, waged war with no clear agenda or plan.
Hegseth has given illegal orders.
They have threatened wars of conquest against our allies and insulted NATO.
They have ruined our reputation, integrity and credibility.
So far only Putin, Netanyahu, Trump himself (because of his legal jeopardy due to his incriminating presence in the Epstein files) and those in the U.S. who used inside knowledge to profit by insider trading -- so far *those* are the ones who have benefitted from this administration's rash abuse of our military capacity and service people.
After promising peace and no new wars, Trump is now engaged in wars and war crimes across the globe. The expert staff and agency tasked with preventing civilian deaths was closed down.
If Congress continues to enable and fund war crimes, it is complicit.
In short:
The very name of the "Dept of War" is illegitimate;
its actions in this administration have been rash. Rash -- and also illegal according to both domestic and international laws.
Trump appears addled and demented in press conferences, seemingly incapable of handling the demands on a commander in chief, while Hegseth spouts dangerous apocalyptic and theocratic tropes and advocates war crimes.
Trump's latest request comes at a time when essential services for veterans are being cut, SNAP programs and health insurance for Americans, axed.
The Pentagon has not passed an audit and recent reporting about expenditures on deluxe violins and grand pianos raises concerns about probity and management.
It's time for Congress to put the brakes on.
Take the car keys away from the toddler.
Reassert Congress's constitutional powers over war and appropriations.
NO ADDITIONAL funds for this "Deparment of War" run amok.
