We Need A No Secret Police Law In Our State

Federal immigration officers are arresting people on our streets, in churches, in schools, and in court rooms. They do not always wear their uniform, display their badge and name and they often wear face masks to hide their identity. This behavior leads to a lack of accountability and transparency and only serves to increase public distrust of federal agents. It may even be that these are kidnappings by vigilante groups. There is no way to know!! Legislation is being proposed in California to increase accountability and transparency and increase public trust of law enforcement. It is California SB 627, the No Secret Police Bill. Here is a link to that proposed legislation, https://legiscan.com/CA/text/SB627/id/3256182 This bill would make it a misdemeanor for a law enforcement at any level officer to wear any mask or personal disguise while interacting with the public in the performance of their duties. The only exception is for SWAT. I want you to craft and enact a law similar to CA SB 627, the No Secret Police Act, in our state. When people are being disappeared from our neighborhoods we need accountability - not the Secret Police. Thank you.
